  • TBA  Territorial Days @ Pioneer Living History Village · Phoenix, AZ
    Gates open 9-5pm. Pioneer Living History Village celebrates Territorial Days. Located 30 minutes north of downtown Phoenix, you'll visit over 90 acres of an old 1800's town, with no cars or smog! Authentic buildings and historically accurate reproductions. See the Opera House where Lilly Langtry sang. All of this, plus a blacksmith shop, sheriff's office and jail, complete ranch complex, and costumed interpreters including cowboys, lawmen, and lovely Victorian ladies - await you at Pioneer Living History Village, Arizona's most authentic Old West town. Invited Living History Guest and Dignitaries. Reading of the Statehood Proclamation approx. 10 am at the Opera House.

  •   Feb. 28, 2009  Winter Range @ Ben Avery Shooting Facility · Phoenix, AZ
    Single Action Shooting Society's National Championship Of Cowboy Action Shooting, Encampment And Frontier Exhibition . Produced By The Arizona Territorial Company Of Rough Riders. Ben Avery Shooting Facility, site of Winter Range, is located in the beautiful Sonoran desert north of Phoenix. To reach Ben Avery Shooting Facility from Phoenix, go north on I-17 to Carefree Highway (exit 223). Turn left at the stop sign, and take the overpass over the freeway. After crossing the cattleguard, the range entrance will be on your right. Follow the Winter Range signs across the range to the parking area.

    DIRECTIONS:
    West on US 60 to Interstate East bound Interstate  to Exit 162 West on Wild Horse Pass Blvd. to 48th St. South on 48th St to Tham Yog North Loop Road West on Tham Yog North Loop to RAWHIDE.  The country's largest celebration of the Old West and the American Cowboy. A visit to The National Festival of the West is like a step back in time with plenty to see and do during four action packed days with music, chuck wagon cook-off, cowboy poetry, arena events,  celebrities, trade show, mountain man rendezvous, and sutlers.

    From  Noon till 2:00 pm on the first Sunday of each month, the Mojave Muleskinners will meet in Pioneertown for some bank robbing, gunfights, hangings and a bit of FUN!

  • TBA  Cowboy Poetry & Music Fest @ Melody Ranch · Santa Clarita, CA
    The Mojave Muleskinners and fellow reenactors travel back in time at the Cowboy Poetry & Music Festival for a day of walking among the hallowed streets of the old Gene Autry Ranch where "Gunsmoke", "Magnificent Seven" and many other Westerns were filmed. Melody Ranch is only open to the public once a year during this Festival. The renowned HBO series, "Deadwood"  was filmed there. From the series, Dave Bourne will be playing the piano!  www.cowboyfestival.org

    From  Noon till 2:00 pm on the first Sunday of each month, the Mojave Muleskinners will meet in Pioneertown for some bank robbing, gunfights, hangings and a bit of FUN!

  • TBA  Wild West Encampment  ·  Pioneertown, CA
    This encampment is for all cowboy reenactor groups, cowboy action shooter groups, mounted shooters, Civil War reenactors, living historians, Native American history groups, Western Hispanic historical reenactment groups, Sutlers, mounted Calvary and period vendors. The encampment is a time to relax, perform, meet other groups, eat good food and spend some time in the high desert where numerous events of early California history took place, from the the 1840's to beginning of the 20th century. NOTE: Proof of Insurance required if you will be performing. As always, no live ammunition and a gun safety check will be made. Pioneertown is a living old western town where TV programs and movies of the late 1940's and 1950's were filmed, including Gene Autry TV shows, The Annie Oakley show, Range Rider, The Cisco Kid and a long list of various western productions. Free camping is available and there are several hotels in the nearby towns. FULL ENCAMPMENT

    Groups from all over Arizona participate in a weekend long celebration of the Old West and the American Cowboy.

  • August 29 - September 1, 2008  Rendezvous Of The Gunfighters · Tombstone, AZ
    Gunfighter groups from throughout the U.S. gather in Tombstone to perform. Activities: Most-authentic costume contest and parade on Sunday. Great way to experience Tombstone without the huge crowds of Helldorado! Going to be a BIG turnout!

    Mojave Muleskinners rendezvous in Virginia City, Nevada. In the time between the early 1860's through the 1890's, Virginia City was one of the largest and most sophisticated cities in the west. Today, this notoriety is only surpassed once a year with the arrival of the Mojave Muleskinners! The weekend is spent robbing the train and visiting the historical sites. Lodging: Silver Queen Hotel  775-847-0440.

    History meets Hollywood! Best of the west entertainment, wild west performers & stunt shows. Trading post Vendor encampment 100's of artisans selling their wares. Live music! Strolling cowpokes & stage shows featuring nationally known acts, Lil' Kowpoke Korral, pony rides, face painting and good ol' fun activities. Saturday Night Dance 7-10pm.     Mesa Downtown Merchants are proud to announce another celebration of Mesa Old West Days on Saturday, October 18, 2008. FREE Parking and FREE Admission. Following is a list of our planned events: 9th Cavalry Buffalo Soldiers, 1800’s Baseball Team, Chili Cook-Off / officiated and sponsored by the International Chili Society, Various Vittle Vendors & Refreshments, Mojave Muleskinners re-enactment group, 19th century music, Evening Dance Cotillion, Western Re-enactment Competition, Period Costume Competition with prizes, Sutlers & Craftsmen, Poets, Authors, & Speakers, Old West Shooting Gallery, Roping and Gold Panning for the kids.
